Birth

The promise, commitment, and the act of the death of self, caused me to cry. I have no words to describe the feeling. The entirety of my previous life, all previous memories, emotions high and low, the false structure, the false world, so grand, disappearing in an instant. A new world appears, a world so bright, greenest of grass and trees, the bluest of skies, bright golden rays of the sun, almost blinding I cannot see the children of the universe hovering around me. This world was was here all along, hidden, concealed from me. The transition between death to life, the time felt eternal and yet, at the same token, was instant. Time was no time at all.

Overwhelmed with a myriad of emotions, of excitement, anger, sorrow, gratitude, and love, I still I found myself light, unburdened. It seemed that what I had previously blindly accepted as the “I”, made me so heavy. I no longer felt confined, similar to my previous dreams in which, despite moving my legs and my feet, my vessel remained unmoved. But, here I am, floating. I am reborn. I feel like an infant. My “senses” of the world have completely changed from something material to something so different. It’s as if, for the first time, I experienced true “vision”. It’s more than sight. I feel things in a different level. A sense that identifies evil, a sense that also identifies the good, that moves the heart, soul, and spirit. And just like an infant, I cried. It was beautiful. There is no longer fear. Fear that created evil, that created sin, sin to injustice.
